Seedlings Green Guide at Georgia State
Want to be a part of creating a bright green future? Here's all you need to know about our campus and our city to help you make truly sustainable choices.
Travel & mobility
Although most students at GSU remain fairly reliant on private vehicles, there are alternatives! The Panther Express is a GSU-provided free bus service for students that can be tracked through the Passio GO app. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) provides both train and bus services, which GSU students can use with a discounted MARTA Breeze Card. There are also pay-to-ride electric scooters stationed outside dorm halls.
All of our energy
GSU allows students to rent Energy Star Certified appliances such as mini fridges for the entire year, and shower heads in dorm rooms come with water limiters. Other simple ways of saving energy are switching off lights when not in the room, opting for battery or solar-powered decorative lights, and doing laundry in big loads and on a cold cycle.
