Seedlings Green Guide at San Diego State
Want to be a part of creating a bright green future? Here's all you need to know about our campus and our city to help you make truly sustainable choices.
Travel & mobility
The great thing about SDSU is that you don't need a car to explore sunny Southern California. There is a trolley station and a bus station right on campus. The SDSU campus itself is easily walkable, but you can also grab an electric bike or scooter if you need to get somewhere quick – and you get to use the designated biking and skateboarding lanes!
All of our energy
A simple and pleasant energy-saving hack is switching off the lights and making the most of the natural sunlight! Other easy ways of cutting back on energy use include unplugging appliances when not in use, air drying clothes rather than using the laundry room dryers, and taking slightly cooler showers.
Anything else?
Sustainability can make its way into any aspect of our lives and it's important that we make conscious decisions on how we're treating the earth. Heading to the grocery store? Grab some reusable bags. About to throw something away? Think about donating or upcycling the item instead.
